Whoaaaaaaaa.

Firstly, the TARDIS changed?! Has it changed before, because it's been the same for the last five years!

A NEW SCREWDRIVER?

I'm not sure if I like this or not!

Amy, I do like. Eleven...I'm uncertain, but so far I think he's alright.

They also changed the music and the font and...well everything. Why did they change everything? I've never watched before 2005 so I'm not sure if they've done this before or not so if you know, please enlighten me.

Watch me geek out.

Yeah, the TARDIS has changed subtly over the years, mostly because they kept having to make new props. The new one has some call-outs to the original one from the '60s, like the little badge on the door.

The interior's also changed multiple times. In the classic series it was bright white, because that's what people believed looked futuristic. A darker interior was created for the Eighth Doctor movie. The console itself has had multiple makeovers, but this seems to be the most substantial one. I love how steampunkish the new one is, myself.

Hee, the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Doctors all went without screwdrivers; just be glad Eleven has a new one. :)

Theme song! It also has a lot of influence from the classic series. Everyone seems to hate it, but I loved the call-backs to the original. So...I dunno. Maybe it's just me being weird.

I almost just posted, "Hey Michelle, answer me this" cos I knew you'd have all the answers. :)

I don't mind if it's more of a throwback than a brand new thing. It's just radical changes for no reason that bother me, but if it's influenced by the series, I'm down with that.

Yeah I wasn't sure what the deal was with the thing on the door. What exactly is it? As for the inside, I'm still unsure about it. It is quite weird looking, but then again, so was the original one I'm used to. I may end up liking this one better after a while.

As for the screwdriver, I was kind of fond of the blue, but I guess I can deal with green.

I don't hate the song, really, but I do hate the font they are showing the names with at the beginning. The actual logo and name of the show look great in it, but not the names. They should use that same sans serif white that they used everywhere else. (This probably sounds really picky, but since there were so many changes, I can't help but comment on it.)

How are you enjoying Matt so far? I think he's got a bit of Tennant in him, but he's also a bit more snarky too. I like Amy, so I think I'll really enjoy their interaction. I like the suspenders and bowtie too.

Haha, I would've replied regardless.

It's called a St. John's Ambulance badge, which were supposedly pretty common on real police boxes from the '60s. You can sort of see it in the title for the very first Doctor Who ep The Unearthly Child. It's a symbol for the St. John's Ambulance Brigade, an order of knights who tended to the sick and injured.

Matt is fun so far, I do like his energy. I wonder if we'll see less of the Tennant influence as the season goes on, though. Amy is brilliant, as well.
