the username burntotears is not a reference to anything gothic. In fact when I first heard the words, I found them more beautiful than depressing, but over the years more people have commented on the 'darkness' of the phrase. I suppose as with most things in life, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The phrase comes from the end of a song titled 'Shackled' by Vertical Horizon. The complete lyric is 'and time will burn your eyes to tears.' I wanted to condense the essence of the line and came up with the username you see before you.	the girl My name is Sarah (Maria). I'm 22 years old and live in Texas with my parents and my boyfriend who has decided to basically move in with me. Most of my immediate family lives nearby, including the apple of my eye: my niece Tori. I live with about a million animals, but the ones that belong to me are my dog Tucker and my snake Leroy. I am still attending college, pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science. When I graduate I plan to get certifications that will allow me to become an IT technician and work with my father who owns his own business.	the words I've been writing ever since I can remember. When I began reading fanfiction on the internet, I stuck to writing fanfic for many years. It was not until I started high school that I became interested in writing original fiction--mostly poems and short romance stories. In high school I also became addicted to storybook role playing, a hobby that carried me through the rest of high school and part of my college career. I no longer role play or write short stories, but my hope is to one day sit down and devote myself to one of the many novel ideas I've concocted.	the life I've been obsessed with various fandoms throughout my life. My first fandom was *NSYNC, a fond memory of pretty boys, slash fanfiction and squeeing. Most of my fandoms are either books, anime/manga, or television shows. If I'm not playing World of Warcraft, I'll be watching or reading one of the aforementioned. Outside of the internet phenomenon, I enjoy playing video games, photography, traveling and recently new hobbies such as archery and fishing.	the journal This journal is a friends only. It is filled with my personal life as well as my fandom squees, so I usually only accept friend requests from people I already know. Because of the very personal nature of my journal, the chances that I will add a friend whom I know nothing about is slim, so do not take offense if I do not add you back.
